40+ Years Integrating Healthcare and Education Systems
Experience That Spans Policy, Practice, and Implementation
Healthcare and education systems were not designed to work together. Different cultures. Different rules. Different measures of success.
That’s where most efforts break down.
I’ve spent more than four decades building programs that connect these systems in ways that actually function—operationally, legally, and within the communities they serve. As Executive Director of The Los Angeles Trust for Children’s Health, I’ve led large-scale initiatives across one of the most complex public systems in the country, aligning school districts, health providers, researchers, and policymakers around a common goal: improving outcomes for children.
My work spans clinical care, public health strategy, program design, and system integration, and has informed models that extend beyond a single market. I’ve built and scaled programs that now operate at regional, state, and national levels, from community health worker models to peer-led youth health initiatives to data systems that link health services to academic outcomes.
What sets my work apart is simple:
I don’t just advise. I align people, systems, and expectations, and stay focused on what it takes to make the model work in the real world.
